DAY 36 STILL AT BIG BEAR LAKE, CALIFORNIA

                    DAY 36                                     Sat. July 23

We slept until almost 9:00 this morning. I started making sausage and turned around to see who wanted eggs and everyone was eating cereal or pop tarts. So I made an omelet for Thad and myself. It didn't take long to cook breakfast this morning. We all started to get our swimsuits on and ready for a fun day. Irene is coming over to hang out with me and the little girls at the pool while Thad and Lance takes the big kids out on the boat, tubing. The girls kept me busy getting in and out of the pool and then Lance came over to get Irene for lunch. Thad came up to the pool and the girls wanted to go back with him. So we all headed back to the RV for lunch and then lay down for a nap. That way the little ones would be more fun tonight when we go back over to eat supper with Irene and her family. She is originally from Russia, Thad and her dad Boris hit it off. (Like that is a big surprise) Thad makes friends everywhere he goes, but he was a hoot. Her mom and sister and her family were also up for the day. When we woke up we all had showers and walked down to the dock to meet Lance. Mitchell took his pole so that he could catch fish off the dock. Kali had warmed up to Irene today, she followed her back and forth bringing stuff down to the deck for supper. Lance and Irene hooked Paisley up with some fruit snacks before supper to tide her over.

 Yum..supper was ready. We had burgers, salad, and veggies off of the grill. It was great. Zach and Nick showed the kids how to play a new card game and then they played the card game spoons... with cups.

After supper we walked over to the playground to let the kids play again. Paisley hung with Nick, she called him a baby and wanted him to chase her. Kali hung with Zachary. You know how she makes friends. She made one with him. They all played so good together. They have a great family and they made us feel very welcome. We talked about getting together when we met them in Punta Cana this year but who would have thought that we would actually get to meet up and hang out with them. We invited them to come to TN anytime so maybe you all will get to meet them sometime too.
