1880 TOWN

Sorry it has taken so long to update everyone but we didn't have internet since we were in the middle of the Badlands.

This is one of the McNasty brothers that puts on a show in the saloon giving Alexa a diamond ring.

We decided to stop off to see the town even though it was pouring rain.They had props from the movie Dances With wolves and a town full of old buildings from the 1800's. They had an old doctors office, a hotel, and old jail, a saloon and much more.We had the most fun at the saloon. They sold old drinks in a bottle. We tried cream soda and it tasted just like orange sherbet ice cream. Paisley loved it. They put on a comedy and music show that was so funny. I laughed until my cheeks hurt. They called Lawson up on stage as one of the volunteers to help play a song.  I haven't been able to get video uploaded but I will keep trying because I have it on video and Lawson is so funny.. Once we started getting closer to the Badlands we turned off all electronics and to my surprise the kids didn't complain. They all started taking pictures. We got out of the RV to take a picture and it was freezing. If the wind wasn't blowing so hard it wouldn't be so bad. We watched people beside struggle until they finally give up trying to put up a tent. We were thanking God that we had an RV. We all decided to head out for a hike in the canyons. Kali did so good...I just knew that Kali would have a meltdown before we got back, but she was so sweet she kept telling me to let her know if I was going to fall because she was a mountain climber and she knew how to get up the big mountains. The kids got filthy but they had a blast. They didn't have a shower or water hook-ups inside the campgrounds so we had to take rag baths. Thad made brat burgers for supper and then the kids went a night sky program about the stars and the badlands. We all decided to call it a night. Here are some pictures of our day.
